I used an older version of Audacity to pull in some music on cassette tape from a couple of rock bands I was in during high school and college. I thought this was a great program back then -- it's great to see it's still being developed and improved.

I just used this recently to help a familt member splice a few tracks together and was impressed by how functional this free gem of a program was. There's also a fair amount of documentation out there too.
